=============================================================================
I have a doubt.

In multiplay, is the doctrine of the person who "host" which prevails? Each uses its own doctrine?

Same with PBEM, is this the doctrine of of the person who initiates the game or is the doctrine of each is in force?

How to be certain that everyone uses its own, as it should be the case?

What happens when a host's map has a different duration than from the joining player (see MapEdit)?

The map duration from the host will preavail?

==========================================================

Que se passe-t-il, lorsque la durée d'une partie (voir MapEdit) de celui qui "host" est différente de celle de la personne qui se joint?

La durée de celle du "host" prévaut-elle?

All info needs to be on the host machine.
If you want to use your own doctrine, you need to send it to the host. (the file can be password protected)
It's also possible to play a map that you don't have but the host has.
CBR hosted a game for us where he made a random map and a random OoB. I had neither of the files, but it worked.

Thank you Ras for this quick answer. It is so appeasing when doubts are lifted up.

May I hope my preceding question about doctrine will interest someone?

From the manual, Book 1, page 104 near the bottom, also in the French version:

Also a player on the opposing side will transmit to the host the doctrine file for his
camp. The host will put this file in his “doctrine” folder and uses the doctrine editor to
load the file for the game.

I hope that's enough to figure it out.

How do you put password to your doctrine before sending to the pbem host ?
So if you dont send your OOB and doctrine to the host, he will choose whatever he likes, doesnt have to be scenario based armies... Is it possible to select unbalanced armies as in Grognards mode you cant see your enemy ?

Great feature of LG.....I don't pretend to understand the Doctrine side of things yet, not really looked at it with so much other stuff to discover first.

Yes, the host sets the game anyway he wants, with the agreement of those joining the game...If you OR I made a brand new OOB, you get it on your pc and then set the game up using that when your create an MP game.

Excuse me I used to understand many stings but it should often be explained deeply. Sorry.

If I understand correctly, when the host modify the doctrine following his mood, other(s) player(s) are using the same modified doctrine. Is that right?
If yes that sound unfair for me, why oblige the others to use the doctrine from the host when they most probably prefer to use them own isn'it. I think that could be close to be a bug, if I understand correctly.

Thank you for the answer but that wasn't enough, Hook,  :)

I'm sorry, I made a mistake.
You can password protect the OoB but not the doctrine.

You could create unbalanced armies, I guess. Just don't spend all points for one army.

[..].. and how we name it for the "host" to use it...

Well you could name it any way you want, Rustem_France for example.
But once the host wants to include it into the game, I think it must be in this format:"01Russia.txt".
So when the host receives your file he needs to rename it.
There's a folder with reference files and default settings, so there's no great danger of overwriting important doctrines.

About the doctrine imposed by the host.

If I create a post in "Bugs reports" thread will it be a double employment?

Cheers,
GP.

I see. So after we receive file from our opponent, (00France.txt for France, 01Russia.txt for Russia, 02Austria ... ) we put in in doctrine folder under Histwar...then go to doctrine editor, "choose the current doctrines" for his faction and then ours as well.
