Yes.. but it's a temporary version... all isn't implemented and there are some graphic issues with this "demo" version...
Please, keep that in your mind...

At last! Thank you JMM. I bought a good specification PC two years ago in order to play HistWar and I was disappointed with the 1-10 scale. Now we can see real armies on the battlefield. I have tried only the Tutorial, in 1-2 scale, but it seems to work perfectly. Now for Waterloo at 1:1.....

I have just made a quick try of 1:1 and 1:2. It is extremely easy to use JSGME to switch between the various possibilities.

First: WOW ! I have never seen anything like this, it's great, EPIC !

But at least in my PC (Win XP, Core 2 Duo 7400, 4 Gig RAM, ATI 5750 1 Gig VRAM), 1:1 gives some noticeable lag when moving the camera in 3D; also, the men are very disproportionate to the terrain, specially the trees (that all look like giant sequioas  ).

In 1:2, I have no noticeable lag in moving the camera in 3D, and the size of the men is more proportionate to the terrain, so I think 1:2 gives the better "feel" for now. And I maybe wrong, but in comparison with 1:10, the movements and behaviors of the units seem more "realistic", also.

(Good thing that I am upgrading next week my desktop to a 27' iMAC with Win 7 in Bootcamp, i7 CPU, 8 Gig RAM and 2 GIg VRAM - then bring it on that 1:1 !!  )

Regards

(PS: Does it matter what the second number is ? Mine was 3, not 1 or 2... just curious)

Easy.. maybe my explanation isn't clear..
For example, a generic tree is presented with a couple of dds file:
arbre000.dds and arbre000B.dds

If you want to include a tree for summer.. in this folder, put a couple of file : arbre000.dds and arbre000B.dds
These ones replace the generic tree for the summer...

Clear?

If i want summer, autumn and spring?

No sure I understand..
There are 4 empty folder...one for each season...
Generic trees are within the folder T_Tree
Other trees must be placed within the different folders.

No clear?

I have just done a trial run of a bit of Quatre Bras on a 1 to 1 basis. Wow!  Very impressive indeed. I have little time today but look forward to getting back to it tomorrow. Congratulations JMM and thanks for all your hard work!

I'm not totally sure, but I  don't think it is necessary.
