New GUI
Patch to only apply to HistWar Version 02F or 03a (RCx)

In game, G allows to choose the old/new GUI.
Take a look at Interface en.pdf to get information about the new GUI.
Attention : Tutorial isn't yet compatible with the new GUI.

Are you sure ?
In the 03a official patch, the old GUI is indeed the default. If you press "G" you should be able to change to the new GUI.
If not, maybe it's time to do a full uninstall and reinstall...

Yes, I guess it is... Problem is that I am in the middle of a trip, and in the middle of a PBM. :(

No problem.
You take last pbe file sent to you from your opponent (from e-email) ,and repeat turn moves.
Before exit press 'G' and go to new GUI for exit.
I think that work.

Installed and working well in MP test......the old GUI is the default view and I also never saw an "exit" option where it used to be, but the "G" took me to the new GUI and exit from there is normal.
Many thanks JMM, I'm sure there are some more sales of HW not to far away when word gets around that the bugs have been killed off.

The new GUI needs 1280 at least... Under this value, you can only play with the old GUI.
Width was not checked during the beta test but a part of display was lost (1280 - 1024).
You can modify the display parameters with histwar.exe ;)
CTRL + Q allows to exit from the battle

I have 1920x1080 and still it does not switch to the new GUI. I was already used to it... :cry:

I have installed the new patch but I cannot get new GUI ( I was playing with it with the previous patch without pb).
Also I could not find the exit button with the old GUI.
Help!!!!

Maybe your physical display is 1280 but you play in 1024.
Are you sure to play in 1280? Otherwise, just increase the size of your window in windowed mode.
ESCape in old GUI.. I made a mistake, after adding the item "G choice your GUI", I delete the item "Quit the battle"
So, you can use CTRL + Q to Exit!

De même que Soldat Louis, la touche G ne fonctionne plus. Je reste donc avec l'ancienne interface.
En outre, la mini carte présente des transparences ce qui nuit à sa clarté.

b) Setup and choose a width >= 1280
c) save the configuration
In windowed mode, you can expand the display size like all other applications.

I had the same problems (g key not working and missing exit option). I simply solved it by playing in full screen mode.
All works now! :mrgreen:

And it also helps a bit in improving the game's graphics. ;)
Of course, you should select the resolutioon that matches your screen native resolution.

Hello guys.
I play tournament battle in window mode and in my last battle i do observation that G button not work in window mode, anybody have similar problem?

Is there anyway these button selections (Sound, Transparency, Light ) can be treated as settings. Is it possible to make these act like game settings, so that when I set them, they stay that way from game to game until I change. Currently every time I start a new game I have to reset.
Ctrl-T behaves similar to what I am asking.

PS. I also agree with glaude1955 ; the mini map shows transparencies which affect its clarity. I see this even with transparency set to 240 or none.

I find the Brown background behind the Corp Commander, to be distracting and sometimes makes it impossible to see and select units behind it. It doesn't lighten with Transparency. Could this be eliminated or made to respond to the Transparency feature?
Je trouve le fond brun derrière le commandant de la Corp, être gênant et parfois rend impossible à voir et à sélectionner les unités derrière elle. Il n'est pas alléger avec transparence. Pourrait il être supprimé ou faite pour répondre à la fonctionnalité de transparence ?

I have modified the transparency for this brown box ;)
That said, don't forget the 3D Symbolic view for sending orders to entities.

Thanks, the dark "brown" did cover up to much of the battlefield on 2d view with the Tac plan highlighted.
