I think will be a good idea ask to support the game here, the only thing is give to them the necessary information for the set the game in the software.

Thank for this link..
Why not? Could you ask to the administrator; if I have to add something in the code, I'll do it.
BTW, I took a look at the Depot... and I saw some very nice figures... the different scenarios for HW:LG are in the top of the list.. THX at all for the creativity of Les Grognards;)

This could be exciting news, the Wargamer is very professional and has been established for many years, if LG could work MP though this site it would help everyone - and also bring the game to a wide viewing audience.

JMM, I read from there:
"BattleHQ supports any game that supports DirectPlay or Direct IP. Examples would be: Age of Kings, Half-Life and Medal of Honor. "
I hope that help to answer your question.
Cheers,
GP.
-
I saw that GP, is HWLG a "direct IP" type of game ?.

Yes

Good, this sounds like the best solution for MP - so far.

With no repsonse from the server organisers "Tunngle" its hard to know what will be ok actually, we are still waiting on word from other sources, and so far nothing as well.

I hope whoever your waiting for gets back to you soon,

The tunngle lobby is already open from a month. With the game works perfectly (a part the game problem of fall of client player). Is the better solution if your connection is behind a NAT.

We get the same issues in direct play
But the other issue is reliablity with it is that going to be sound? And its free now but will it be always free? for example hamachi was good till someone else bought it out. Now its suspect in reliability.
A lot of the time something thats free, is not free of problems, therefore it costs time. I dont have the time to spare to muck around with it.
Id rather pay a small amount for a system that has guaranteed connections, got heaps of reliablitily and support for a strong basic system, than with something thats reliable some of the time, and the support you get only forum support at best.
NAT?

NAT?
Will have a free version and a payment version; at difference of Hamachi Tunngle is more performing regarding the games because is specific for this (liek the emulator of B and C class http://www.tunngle.net/features/emulator/) and preview some security tools (like a internal firewall),adding the facts each lobby have space for 250 players.
NAT: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_address_translation ; in my case I cannot host (and sometime I cannot also act as client, because of particular nature of my provider architecture).

İ am now in contact with Tom from Battle HQ. There is a 1 time fee that has to be paid for the game to place it there. After i learn the details i want to contact JMM, he may not have to pay for it, we 5-6 of us may come together and pay for it. Its a 1 time pay, i mean you pay and then play game at Battle hq forever. I ll let you know when i learn more from Tom and contact JMM.
-
Thanks NapLrd.
Do you know how much is that fee ?
Cheers,
GP.

I used the forum because the form request system didn't work when I tried
-
You should look at :
http://www.wargamer.com/gamesdepot/request.asp
It is said, followed by boxes to fill in :
"Request A Game
You can request that a game be added to the system by filling out the following form.
Our Administrators will review all requests promptly. "
My laborious english may not be the best ambassador for this exercise and, more than that, I strongly think only JMM could be allowed to act in this domain.

I would agree, I know it's an old subject, but HWLG needs it's own game lobby somewhere, without it MP gaming with LG will only ever be with few members of the same clans/clubs.......it needs a place where everyone can meet.
Currently no one from a will meet in b's place, no one from c will meet up with d, because a b a and c all meet in different places - not a good thing for a decent size MP Community.

Gents, this is my dialog with Wargamers Battle HQ via email starting from 21.07.2010
Hello,
Is it possible to add "Histwar Les Grognards" to Battle HQ?
best,
NapLrd
Hi,
Sure it's possible, but this is a pay service and the developer
or publisher would need to pay for it.
Regards,
Tom
Hello Tom, thnks for your answer. Is it possible if the developer or publisher not pay for it but 2-3 supporters-fans of the game come together and pay for it ?
How much does it cost per month or year ?
best,
NapLrd
Hi Nap,
To be honest, I'm not sure if we could add a game without the developer or publisher's
permission. Is the game still for sale?
And it would be a one time fee and you can play for as long as you'd like.
Regards,
Tom

Okay, pls see this one.
http://powerlobbies.com/
I send JMM a pm about this,
Tom from "powerlobbies" wants to know if he is insterested in this.
I think we really need a lobby otherwise MP gaming will be a local one. We need support from JMM about this.
-
Good news, Tom - "powerlobbies" ll send their quote to JMM.
I hope/pray to have a lobby for our game soon.
Thnks for your concern JMM.
-
LG Multiplayers !
This game ll have a lobby... from a known and a reliable source ;)
-
This looks interesting, a lobby for everyone to meet would be a great improvement, although I have to admit the TS system is also a good meeting place, and works well for those that wish to use it.

TS is really good but not works for various groups, i mean every clan or group-club wants to use their own.(maybe a language problem as well as its based on voice chat as well as written) But lobby is common like all games use.
-
Am I mistaken ? I believe, using Wargamer-HQ resolves the hesitation of using Hamachi or port 21205 or Tungle, or ...
-
I agree NapLrd, the TS system is excellent for each little group to use with their own members, but a "proper" lobby is what's needed to make LG a real MP game......NBC will be there as soon as it's made, waiting to take on anyone in MP battles.

There seems to be an configuration issue of which I cannot fathom why people cant hear me. When using Skype I have no problems
I dont have anything that is complicated its a USB headset and Mic in one. No big deal I thought

Im inclined to agree with this, and I am on record to get something for MP Gaming

This is not a lobby?
You have event planner, sharing files system, lobby for 255, chat, contacts management, and is possible also attach a plugin to site for see who is in lobby without enter
