We are looking for people who would be interested in Campaign Battles in a future Campaign
The first Campaign will be Danube Campaign 1805
Strategic OOB have been made up, just need some players to commit to it now.
We envisage that only 3 CNC will be needed to represent the Major Powers: France, Russia and Austria. We have 2 player for this Role we just need an Austrian CNC. CnC's Players only must have a working knowledge of EiA
As the game progresses there will be strategic AAR reports each month of the advancing Armies progress and the Manouvering of the same.
Other roles will be required are Players for Corps and or Army Command. These players who are commited to sign up and can hook up by Internet will be preferred, in a HWLG battle

People also needed are good map makers for the HWLG battles

So gazfun all players dont need to know and play EiA? only 3 will play the strategic moves on EiA map and other players ll be the histwar players who fight the battles that the results ll be carried to the program ?

Correct!
The results will be carried to the EiA Program as a result of a HWLG battle.
AARs should be given to Commanders of each army to keep themselves abreast of the Strategic Situation.
There will be three CnC's plus CoS depending on the number of Corps Commander Players
There can be as many Players as there are Corps Commanders and senioroity of TGHQ players as Army Wing Commanders

thnks gazfun.
This may not be possible but if it is, what kind of strategic map is waiting the histwar players who participate the battles, maybe a screen shot of it available ?

A test Campaign Battle is imminent.
This battle will test out any bugs that may occur with setting up Multiplayer Battles on the net. And info will be correlated by each CnC for player involvement strategies.
This test battle will be a large battle and would be over 200 CEH. And will be a lot of fun! Hopefuly by the end of this week
The Danube Campaign 1805 Strategic Game (EiA) is in the final stages of SET UP and will be forwarded to National CnC’s this week for a start.
The set up is all but finished, I just have to double check data entries for the EiA editor, and we will be off and running this next week. Battles from this will coming probably the following week.
I envisage that the first battle of the Danube Campaign will occur within 2 weeks from start.
The next Campaign planned will probably be the Russia 1812 Campaign, this is already in the EiA Game editor to start, the parameters have already been made for this, so its just a matter of fine tuning this and it will be on the way.
Thanks guys

Those players who are part of the French Army, will get a detail brief in TGHQ French Army Forum.

Cavalier wrote in an email for general Distribution:
G'Day Guys,
Almost everything went perfectly today but the little bit that didn't combined with some bad luck prevented us from having a good game. Fortunately that thing that went wrong is easy to fix IMHO.
In future we need to ensure that 2 people have all the files for the battle and have tested they can establish a multi-player game prior to the battle time.
Attendendance and xFire worked well to get us together and the coordination via email before hand was effective. We would have been fine if the second time I tried to install the map had not somehow corrupted my game files (I needed to do a complete uninstall/re-install to fix the problem).
Lady and gentlemen, I hope we are not discouraged by the games failure today. We were very very close to having the largest numbers of players playing a Les Grognards battle that I have heard of. This campaign idea is bearing fruit and with continued effort will be a great success.
So my recommendation is that we set up a time for another game in about a fortnight. We have a group of enthusiastic players and we will get this to work. I will coordinate with Gazfun, Romanov and AJ to pick a date. The time selected seemed to work for everyone.
cheers
Craig (Cavalier)
