Spectacular !......this should bring in some new people, if not, I don't know what kind of Napoleonic game "they" want.

If the game shall have a significant commercial success, the 3D-Engine has to be accurate!

For us it might not be that important, but for the consumer-mass the following aspects are crucial:

- almost or total accuracy of the 3D-engine in relation to the real game-engine
- 3D realtime fighting action. Good fighting-animations, units always forming formations and firing in the right direction, falling soldiers in the very moment of hit, accurate number of dead boddies corresponding to the current battle-situation
- and me myself I am keen for divisional and brigade level orders, as well as taking command in subleader-level.

To prevent any outrageous comments: There is no need to defend JMM and his work, for I am not offending, and the game itself is already outstanding among its kind.

But I am sure that I am talking the truth, if it is about bringing in a very significant number of new players.

Greetings to the community!

As it came up on a different Forum I would like to know if the development really goes more in the direction of playability instead of historical accuracy.

If that is true I just want to say that there isn't any need to nor any way to catch up to the Total War series, HistWar should stay by its roots as a "historical simulation" because it is this what makes the game so special and stand out between all those wannabe strategy games that simply just make a show instead of really showing a gameplay with depth & historical accuracy.

HistWar keeps its initial value : historical accuracy BUT we try to improve the playability with more feedback from the game , new GUI (for HW).. and so on..
Don't worry.. I don't want to change my point of view on the game play. All initial features are kept...
The big differences between HW1 and HW2 are at the graphical level, not at the historical level...
