« le: 15 décembre 2011, 14:26:54 pm »
Starting 2/1/12, please see the NBC forum for all information.
http://napbc.freeforums.org/lg-generals-at-war-gaw5-campaign-forum-f97.html

The rules are here -
http://www.webjam.com/nbc_gaw

This is for NBC members and "trusted" friends, if you have fought  HW MP (or ntw3 MP) with NBC members, and are well known, you will be very welcome to join in.

Anyone we "don't know yet" will be asked EITHER fight a few introduction HW MP games or join NBC as a full member - taking special note of the NBC CoC.

This is a basic Campaign style game with FOW on a simple but effective map of Poland, it's main design purpose is to create DIFFERENT varied size battles that have some long term meaning.

Gunner puts it well,  this is our 5th Campaign and each one has taught us a lot. We found that the more complicated a Campaign map gets the longer it took to make moves etc..  The FOW feature is the key, you never know the exact strength of the Army you are facing, in fact you only know within 50 ceh.  Uneven Battles which have meaning, capture the enemies Capitol

What a surprise, so much scouting and no fighting - yet.......the first battle must be close now, with so much information about where the enemy forces are having been collected over the last few weeks.

Battle 1 and 2 saw the French outnumbered in both, but they held their ground for a "draw" against the two Allied attacks.

The French now make their first attack, on a weak sector of the Allied front, this will be a RGM battle, full details here -

New members always welcome, apart from these more "serious" GaW battles, NBC also fight MP games most nights about 1900-2000gmt and often at weekend afternoons, uk time.

Three battles down the line, the Allies seem determined to crush French resistance in the North. This could be one of the most bloodiest battlefields in the campaign, the French have held off the allies twice on this battlefield so far, can they do it a third time. Davout so far has been a master of defence, his frail army still holds the high ground, busily preparing defenses, the French are not hopeful, with the allies only two days march away, their lead elements have already been spotted. General DJ leads his men forward through the winter landscape, it is his turn to face the trials and tribulations of attacking through snow. Figures are not available at the moment, but this could be the biggest army the allies have fielded, they mean business, their aim to crush the French threat in the North. Davout must hold his lines of communication, with fresh forces advancing to their aid they must fight hard, victory is not an option but neither is surrender!

Battle 7 on the way later this week.

Advanced planning has started for GaW6 to make it a little more "user friendly" based on over two years playing with this format.  Some things might be taken away from GaW5 and a few other things added, making for some good improvements.

If you want to get involved in the GaW6 planning, please call by the NBC forum and say hello.
