The plan is a worksheet No. 22 of the "School Atlas of Russian history" E.e. Zamyslovskogo (1841-1896). The Atlas was considered before the revolution the best mapping tutorial on Russian history. He passed the three editions (1865, 1869 and 1887); the last edition was accompanied by a book with an explanatory text.
The plan presented to the podmoskovnaâ area in the suburbs of Borodino, where the main and bloodiest battle of the Patriotic War of 1812, shows the disposition of Russian forces and the troops of Napoleon, the primary placement, strategic and tactical conceptions of the commanders of both sides.
