newbie questions....rar files

After lurking for sometime I just bought the game and have downloaded the scenarios from the depot...everything makes intuitive sense except those files that are .rar files. What are those file . My apologies if this is rather basic...

You must unzip these files with Winrar.It is a compression tool similar to Winzip.

Hello,

I experimented the same problems and tried to find a RAR free source to no avail...
As Winzip is free, I think it is probably something for the RAR files without purchase of a soft with little use ( to myself...)
If someone has clue, it'll be welcomed.

Free, I have used it for about 4 years.

7-Zip is an universal free tool which is able to unzip several types of compressed files (zip,rar,...).

Download 7zip or rar and install them

Then double click the file you want to open

Most of the time you can access the exe installer file once you open the file in the winrar or zip format  if not just make a new folder and select all the files (ctrl a) then drag  it to the new folder

Pour info, j'utilise également 7Zip pour décompresser/compressez mes dossiers/fichiers
