Question on installing "Peninsula Mod with JSGME"
« le: 30 avril 2011, 11:36:48 am »
I am being a bit dim and need some help with installing the Peninsula Mod with JSGME. I downloaded the mod, placed it into the "HistWarGames/Histwar" folder then extracted it. I note that it has extracted it into:

HistWarGames/Histwar/PWGM Peninsula mod with JSGME/Mods/Peninsula mod JSGME".

In this folder it has a buch of the standard Histwar folders (eg Army, Constante, Doctrine, ... etc).

My question is, what now?

What is JSGME? I could not find any file with that name or an executable.

Do I copy the contents of these folders directly into the appropriate folders folders under "HistWarGames/Histwar" or is there something else I need to do?

Does it matter which patch version I had Histawr patched to prior to installing the mod (I had it fully installed to v. 03(RC5)?

Can I load the Waterloo mod after the penninsula mod?

cheers
Cavalier

JSGME - http://narod.ru/disk/11518370001/jsgme_setup.exe.html

Special program for MODs install, you must install JSGME in Histwar folder!
When you install JSGME, you will have MODs folder and JSGME.exe file in Histwar folder, you must put your MOD in MODS folder and open JSGME.exe file to install MOD.

P.S. To download enter code and press green button.

Thankyou, that has worked for me. I now have the Peninsula mods fully loaded along with the Belgium 1815 mod and patched to v. 03(RC06) and it looks like the game is playing well.

A sugestion: inactivate all Mods before applying a patch, in that way you will allways have a "clean" patched basic game.
As to the peninsular mod, last time I checked it only worked well with the "old" GUI (haven't tried with RC6, though)

Did the PWM work well with the 03 patches and the new GUI?
Can someone tell me more about that because i enjoy this mod  :p

The gameplay was ok. The problem with 03RC4 was with the new GUI (graphic bugs in the interface, at least in my PC). But using the old GUI (key G to change in game the interface) all was well. I did not yet check RC6

although in French, you can see in the last post the graphic problems; also, do not forget the question of the english doctrine)

I can't find the exe file after the install to Hiswar.   It's not in the Histwar folder or the mod folder.  Did a get a coruptted file?
Thx

This is the .exe file in the main Histwar folder.  I send this to my Desktop as a shortcut :D

I think temigen is looking for an exe file for the peninsular mod... ;)

and that does not exist.

What you get after installing the mod is several new scenarios, of some of the battles of the Peninsular War.
