I live in Canada and the exchange rate for the Euro is about 1.36 so even the digital download would cost me about $55 CAD.  I was going to get the Berthier Box set with the CD but given the exchange rate and the added postage cost I have decided on the digital download.  I assume that I can burn a CD back up of the exe file download which is identical to the CD provided in the Berthier Box set?

In fact, no really because you don't pay the tax at 19.6%
So, for Canada, the price for downloading is : 39.89 * 1.36 / 1.196 -> around $45 CAD...

In the store, the price is calculated after entering all informations about your address.
Probably around $60 CAD for Berthier Box...Yes, you can burn a CD with the package downloaded in order to have a copy of the game.
