I started to install but delayed untill I can understand one or 2 things.
It seems to be a add on to the game?
What will it do to the original game?
Looks like it has a HWLG install program?

There doesnt seem to be enough info in so far as these matters are concerned. Well in the English Forum anyway.
And I think people would need some assuarances to feel confidant in installing this mod.

This modd is different than the present version of the PeninsularWar Modd.
With the new version, and JMM's developments, our modd for the Waterloo Campaign will  add new nations and new units for our scenarios. But existing nations and units in the standard game are not affected by the installation of the modd. So with this modd installed, you will be able to play all other scenarios of the original game, as if nothing had happened...
The modd also enhances the sounds of the game. So on this aspect only, it is likely to have an impact on the original game.

I congratulate everyone who worked on this fantastic addition to HWLG. The look of the new units is wonderful. And I think the Waterloo countryside has been beautifully rendered. Magnifique et Formidable!

Upon initial Solo Game mode it is great, I do love the canon and musket fire sound effects.

Yes, great work all in all. The battlefield sounds are great, from the wheezing of cannon balls to the Highlander pipes !!

Just a question: is it me, or was it the patch 2f or the mod that changed the F2 (map view mode) melancholic but beautiful music to a vague battlefield/thunderstorm background sound ?
(I confess that most of the time I play with sound off, so this may have changed previously without my notice... )

I change the F2 sound with the waterloo mod, in order to have something more neutral than a repetitive same music (whatever the music) that could sound boring after a long time.

Great work, it looks excellent and the battlefield sounds are better, BUT, can anything be done about the sounds on the 2d map, which sound, well, say I say - not so good.

You can put anysound or music that you want. I choose a neutral one with battle sound for the mod. If you wana something else it s very easy.

Take a mono wav file (the sound that you wanna ear). Rename it" fond". Then place it in the folder -> sounds -> ambiance
