Flooding here in our state

The flooding in our state has been enourmous.
The areas flooded in Australia at this present time would cover both France and Germany.
So that give you a bit of an idea of the enormity of this, and most of this in my Home state of Queensland

This is being well reported here in the UK, looks like you have a big problem with 9 metres of flooding.

This is not however the biggest news item from Australia being reported here - something going on at the SCG and no rain

Yes a transitional team of Aussie cricketers for us at the moment which has given a once in a life time situation for a while for everybody concerned.
But let me assure you that will not happen long, and I suppose those who are benefiting should make hay while the sunshines, for it wont be for long.

I see from the latest reports that this is now a serious emergency with parts of Brisbane being evacuated.

I live North of Brisbane in satelite suburb, the catchment area in much smaller so we ended up with a couple pf bridges damaged and local flooding.
But the river below the dam, had rsien just 2 metres below the banks, if that river burst it banks, then we would of been in trouble, its a fast moving river fortunatley.
But the devastation that has been caused is the worst natural disaster in Queensland and Austraia has ever had.
Its going to take weeks to clean up.
We are a hardy lot, we will bounce back stronger from this. We always have.
