I think Poniatowsky can do one thing, it was Davout plan, he can dont attack the Utiza barrow place artillery cover on hill in front of Utiza barrow and support Davout in attack on Fleches.

Hello
Reading my book, now i know that Napo estimated that the Russian left was the weakest, and
there was the possibility to circumvent the plain.
Davout insisted so much, and proposed to send 40,000 men in the night to circumvent the Russian left flank and find themselves in the rear of Kutusov.
Know this would be useful have a map of 15 km maybe satellite for to see which way possible.
But the problem is that no longer possible with map editor build  a map with river in the middle of the map.

I think it was not good plan because Russia not Europe and we have problems with roads up till now, the sense of position near the Borodino was in one thing, Kutusov block two only roads to Moscow and Napoleon dont have roads to flank maneuver and of course Russian woods and swamps not best place to maneuvers, i think Napoleon know that. :D

I want propose to you a PBEM for this battle with historical deployement , but i have found problems and then you have to play a MP with Aj.
I try with a opponent but then we waived for the strange initial deploy (perhaps the problem is the river) .
Many player have problems with standard Borodino.
Have you never tried a PBEM of Borodino?

Would immediately be attacked on the flank,is very hard.
It would be tested with the support of a corp for the protection of the flank, there is also the forest , movement very slow.
