Hello Jean,

I have some questions as to how the fruits of your labor will be shared with gamers.

First, how will LGAA 2.0 be distributed, by download?

And a second question...

Will Histwar or 1806 be sold through commercial channels as was the case with LGAA?

And, finally,  will they will be available in North America?

Congratulations on this exquisite website that you have created; its a real tribute to your vision for these games.

Bonsoir Ivanmoe,

Good to see you again!.. JMM will be along in a while.. I can try to answer some questions...

LGA 2.0 will probably be distributed by CD... the same as the previous version.. but, download may be possible if you already own LGA 1.3.. JMM will straighten this out..

HistWar 1805 and 1806 will be distributed through commercial channels.. JMM has setup a firm to do this.. he can provide more details..

And yes, LGA 2.0 and HistWar will be available in North America.. .I will strongly insist upon this!.. hahahahahahahaha

Cordialement, Duc d'Earl

Good question.. I am no sure Matrix Games wants to burn a CD about this new release.. So, the package will be to download  on our website for the LGAA's owner.

So, I'll try to do a very small package to do that, but this big patch will be released with the Editor of OoB and 10 battles (like Les Grognards)

Le 'Chevalier d'HistWar' Duc d'Earl answered to this question...

Again, Duc D'Earl is right.. Just a comment! I have to translate 'Les Grognards' user's guide to english.. This document will be around 150 pages, and the english version will come one month after the french one up  Sorry

Bonjour JMM,

I'm sorry to hear that. However I know how unpredictable SW development can be.

Just make sure that LGDN will work on my configuration:
Windows XP
P4 3GHz
Radeon 9800 128 Mb
512 Mb RAM

With this configuration, I believe you can launch 2 'Les Grognards' at the same time 8)

The first test with a big regiment of foot dragoon is 20 FPS with a 1.4 GHz + GeF 2 Ti 64 Mo...

I am going to work about optimization.. and my target is > 15 FPS for 1 GHz + Graphical Board 64 Mb on the small map (25 km²)...
I hope it's possible...

JMM

(information : Map Editor on a Radeon 9800 Pro + Athlon 1.2 MHz runs at 150 FPS (1280 * 1024)...)

He, he.
I'm not exactly worried about the performance of my PC. It's a brand new one and I'm counting on that it will be future proof for 2-3 years.

What's worried me is if the game will run under XP (Probably it will. It's only older games that might not work.)

And I remember I had some problem with my graphic board on my older PC when I first installed LGAA 1.0. (No bad feelings JMM  :) )

Since nothing of this was mentioned I assume that LGdN will work on my configuration. But just to be sure I’ll be happy to test it.

Bonjour Lars

LGAA was my first wargame.. I hope I learn and I understand a lot of things about the different configuration

For example, I know NVidia doesn't follow the DirectX rules.. ATI is very rigourous.. So, I can check my SW on this different configurations (ATI/NVidia/Kyro and 98-W2K-XP).. and I am working with a very powerful team!

ASAP, a demo will come up...
