Only for discussion and pastime.
You where think to attack?
A how to red arrow expose his flank.
B seems to me a pitfall.

My very personal opinion is that it is difficult to attack with such holes between your corps.
Even in the case of a successfull initial attack, your flanks seem without any protection..
In your example I would say B (battery + corps linked).

Yes,also for me seems very difficult to think to attack.
The front is very wide for to cover the holes.

Whichever side I was here, I would be trying to attack in the north, with one flank safe against the river.

At the end all ok
I eventually won with a great cavalry attack.
1)Cav enemy move to south to protect his corps.
2)I move infantry how shield for move my cav.
3)move my cav
4)attack enemy cav.
How i give orders, immediately cav attack without problems.
I love cav vs cav when my cav is strong.
Then all easy.
