Ordering Divisions or Brigades directly

howdy armchair-generals !

if i give an order to a Division or Brigade directly, is this order considered as given

- by the leading colonel or general of the specified unit and is going to be executed within a few minutes
or
- by the next level leader in the vertical hierarchy with a certain delay
or
- by the CiC ??

Orders to brigades and divisions take effect immediately, same as orders to individual regiments.   Let us know how it works out.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this facility is working correctly yet. If a Division or Brigade is given a direct order, one unit will do what's told and the rest unhelpfully make their way to the far left top corner!

Yes that's correct, I reported this several weeks ago, I assume it will be corrected.

To my knowledge, at the moment, the only way to give a an order to a subset of units (let's say a brigade) is to "sacrify" one of your eleven "chef de corps". Only 11 are authorized at the moment. May be a simple way to have brigades would be to have more CC. But still their AI will be the one of the corps. Let's wait a bit. I am sure that JMM will make us happy but no pressure.

well, actually that was the intention about this thread. i wondered why only 1 regiment obeyed, when i were giving an order to a whole brigade or division.
