I worked on OdB editor and now I'd like to make a scenario.
I read this thread and took  Nix' example of Wertingen 1805 :

//Summer Autumn Winter Spring - Snow Foggy Rain Hot
Summer
Hot
//Map OoBa OoBb
Wertingen 1805
Wertingen
Wertingen
//Scenario A[Insert the scenario SideA]
[le texte1]
//Scenario B[Insert the scenario SideB]
[le texte2 et
sa suite]

But I don't understand what to do for the following lines :

//Scenario A[Insert the scenario SideA]
[le texte1]
//Scenario B[Insert the scenario SideB]
[le texte2 et
sa suite]

How do we proceed to insert scenario sideA and  scenario side B ?
Do we have to put something instead of [le texte 1] et [le texte 2] ?
How and where must we write the two scenario (if we have to) ?

I searched in different folders in Histwar's folder but I didn't find any model to help me understand what I should do.

May someone help me and explain how to proceed ?

Thanks a lot !  :D

Excuse me if my english is not perfect.

You dont have to insert anything, it works as it is: ie use the exact same text with your scenario name in the places where 'wertingen' occurs

hit a slight problem with this. Made a number of other maps and all work ok. However the map for Raab, for whatever reason, is accessible in the map editor but wont run in the game... any ideas?
Thanks

Probably not enough clear terrain for the corps to deploy.  Try an OoB with a couple of small corps and see if it helps.

If in doubt, zip everything in the Map/Raab folder except the .BMP file and attach it to a message here and someone will have a look.

I have been successful! what I did was make a scan of a google terrain map of the region of interest . This was cropped to an image that represented a selected 10 x 7.3 Km area of interest around the battlefield. The image was then resized, without constraining the image proportions, to 512 x 512 pixels ( so the map now looks distorted as it is compressed in the horizontal direction). This is saved as as a bit map with the name carte.bmp (I choose 16bit  from 16,24,32 options) . This is copied and pasted into the...

I tried to make a map of the battlefield of Eichberg (19 Mai 1813) based upon the battlefield in GoogleEarth, but when I launched, the scenario wouldn't load. It was a 6 km map, unfortunately, so I suppose this is the reason.
Another problem I had  - apart from the restriction making it difficult to have the historic battlefield with many woods - was that, when I draw a bent road, I always get another road taking the shorter, direct distance, so I end up with two roads having the same begin and end. Anyone else having that problem ? Moreover, impossible to erase that other road.
Can anyone conform that it is impossible to erase an object once you have saved your map, e.g. reopening it to make changes?

Thanks.... tried the smaller OOBs but no luck. My other maps that work are quite detailed and the map for Raab is quite simple in comparison.  I've attached it if anyone wants to have a go at it.

Thanks

I just loaded that map with a tiny OoB and it came up in the game.  This was in the beta code, so it may work after the next patch.

Also tried it with the same OoB in the release code and it didn't work.  Tried again in the beta with the Montebello OoB and it did.  So... it'll be fixed in the patch. :)
