You may introduce the game yourself with that kind of propaganda
:
- Designing a battle plan may be as fast and easy as you want : giving orders to corps and leave the AI manage its tasks, or taking command of regiments. Video in which you can see how to set up a battle plan :
http://www.histwar.fr/dl/videos/HW36.wmv- You can select how high you want the battle to be realistic (orders transmission delay, orders may be intercepted, three degrees of Fog of War, etc.)
- You can play as a Total Commander of every single regiment or simply give orders to your army corps, divisions, brigades to : deploy, defend, retreat, fake an attack.
- The AI has been designed to reproduce what a general of the early XIXth century would do (positioning artillery, defending redoubts, stop an attack if he is outnumbered, etc.).
- Moral and commander's abilities and aura are as important as a sound strategy.
- Operation lines are very important to win a battle.
- Realistic army proportions are respected : about 5% of Guard units, etc.
- The total of soldiers on a battlefield is 500 000, pictured by 50 000 units.
- French Empire, Russian Empire, Austrian Empire, Duchy of Warsaw, Sweden, Bavaria, the Duchy of Baden, Kingdom of Denmark, Italy, Kingdom of Naples, Saxony, Kingdom of Westphalia, Kingdom of Wurttemburg are playable.
- 4 400 real commanders and 1 500 real regiments are playable.
- Great Britain, Prussia and Spain will be playable in a future patch.
- Real Order of Battle are available, but you can also modify, create and save yours.
- Order of Battle and Map generators are available, but you can create your own maps.
