Map making - uploads and downloads

In the old --------- forum I believe there was going to be a section for uploading Community made maps for LG, so they could be shared around........will there be such a place here at HW ?.

I think the Histwar website can store them, i believe a ranking system should be interesting to rate the maps... even in the forum for example

To make a real good 600 sq.km map is not as easy as it looks first.

Of course a downloads section with a mods threat and a map threat is a must.

Fortunatly we'll have a new forum after the release of the game.

A new forum after release ?.....I must have missed this, what new forum will there be and where will it be hosted ?.

As for the maps, making a map that is 100's of km square (with many details ?) will be a massive job, making a map for EmpireTW (only 4 sq km in size) can take anywhere from 10-20 hours each, so a map 100+ times bigger will have to be pretty basic, otherwise someone will be spending the rest of their life making it !.

Then we can start creating maps before the main game is released.

I think that the map editor is in the game.

I was just wondering if it can be released early so we can get started on building maps ready for when the game is released.  It would mean a few maps can already be created by the community as we wait for the game to be released for purchase.

I don't think that's a good idea because JMM's team is already urge to release the demo this month and the game the next month.

It is very hard to make maps without being able to test them "in game" tomake sure they play well.....not impossible, but hard.
