Posté par: AJ le 05 novembre 2018, 20:01:53 pm
After my long absence I am back in the saddle and practicing hard but I am having problems installing scenarios. I seem to be doing everything I used to do, maps in in maps, oob in army etc.. but when I launch they aren't there. Can anyone post me a detailed walk through. Thankyou

Welcome Back AJ

which scenarios are you having trouble with ?
which version of the game is currently running on your PC ?

I managed to fix it my friend, I had to reinstall HWN and run in compatibility mode for Windows 7 as an administrator then they all loaded fine

AJ, do you mean that you are running HWN on Windows 10, but you ran it in Win 7 compatibility mode and also as administrator? And everything worked fine?  I just tried that for myself, and it still completely freezes up. Not sure why.

No I had a fresh windows 7 install but noticed the installation.exe was set for Windows XP compatibility. I also wish it would work on my Windows 10 but nothing I tried worked. Sorry for raising false hopes. I have heard that some have had success changing the downloaded installation file to Windows 7 compatibility and running it as Administrator, you must do this before you attempt the install. Let me know how it goes.
