Satellite map and oobs for Borodino downloaded from depot. Couple of graphical errors because of old map installed on HWN, ie a bridge missing and the built up areas not looking as Russian as the original, but a great looking battlefield that inspired me to make this short video. 1-2 scale used and 30/60 time, ie every 2 seconds of game time equal one second of real time. Oob had historical deployments. As the game was running virtually in real time, by the time it was edited and uploaded this little segment took about 2-3 hours, hence the reason for it being short...
For the eagle eyed out there Ney was on the left of Davout and not the right lol. It would take too long to do it again, for that apologies...

Fantastic video with sound in background.
Perhaps some minor work of Richard Strauss ? I do not recognise musician.
Fantastic landscape with soft colors.
If it had been in slow motion, even better.
My congratulations. ;)

The original sounds of the game were meant to come through behind the music, but apparently even though there is feature for this it doesnt work if you use the music from utubes swap library... pity...
Music is Symphony No3 in C major Op43. 'Le Divin Poeme' I. Luttes.

You certainly cant argue with how good HWN now looks, my favourite part too was the Poles in the cornfield, great video Fri  ;)

Some more action from my Borodino battle... tried to get more shots of close up action.
Found out how to get the original sound under the music but seem to be getting some annoying clicks from my record software in game so have again just got music...
A problem I haven't had before.

Fantastic video, now I see that waste my time on making this map for good purpose :D

Friant, I want ask you, do you have any AI bugs when you attack Bagration's redoubts?

I didn't see anything bad, to be honest I retreated Davout back early afternoon after capturing the redoubt on the French right. One of the bridges did not transport into HWN version, but troops crossed river still.
From what I observed there was no problems with Bagrations redoubts.
Excellent map, as I said once I loaded the game and looked at that beautiful map it inspired me to play...  ;)
Now I remember, Davout did hug the treeline on the right when advancing??

Historical Dovout went through the forest and assume formations in front of southern redoubt from 300m, Russian artillery opened canister-shot fire, French forces pull back to the woods.

Footage from a battle with new patch RC4. Imo the ai is now vastly improved over what we had. I know some are still have a few issues and JMM is aware, but this is probably the best I have seen the game play for a long time.
3d interpretation is also now a very good representation of what is going on on the field. Anyway agreed, not perfect but an improvement definitely considering I only gave initial orders and everything that follows is decided by the ai.
Thanks to Memnon for reintroducing some of the sounds... especially marching music.  ;)

Here is a video in two parts I finally finished (I'm not as brilliant as Friant)
The map and oob were made from scratch after the 05f 3_4 patch was applied.
Using overwolf/teamspeak free video capture

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWWF_OSEXmw  part 2 (all the fighting and cavalry charges here)

Here is a video of a map Alfiere and I worked on. There are no units on it although I have the OOB
and should begin testing it. Perhaps Alfiere will join me in the test and add his expertise and good advice.
In the meantime enjoy the map.

sorry...I forgot to mention that Alfiere used the Brucepus method for this map of Novi Ligure
and adjusted the elevation as the terrain is very steep.
