does anybody know where to get these maps. to play them or good sites to get maps so i can make them. i have order of battle thanks

Hello Maloyaroslavets.
For map with satellite elevations you have to read a Brucepos Manual in the non official depot.

Then follow his explanations.
Anyway is not so easy make a satellite map.
If you do not have hurry,i can when i have waste time to make the Maloyaroslavets map.
But you have to say to me which map 10 x 7.5km or 15 x 11.25 km do you want and say also to me if Maloyaroslavets village must to be in the center of the map.

I take a look.
Maloyaroslavets is between two tiles 44_01 and 44_2 of srtm (very difficult to make satellite map).
I need some times to organize me.(I never make a zone map between 2 tiles,very unlucky case)
Vyazma is inside tile 43_01 , more easy ,but need download all heights data.
A question Vyazma is to north-east of Smolensk , around 105 kilometers?

can you make the maps please and thanks. and Vyazma is 102 kilometers and for maloyaroslavets 5 x 11.25 km and town in the middle of the map please

I am working on Vyazma.
Before i continue,some little help.
a pic with only elevations
and a pic with overlapping capture screen google maps (user map),i make how town only Vyazma, no other villages i see.
i see some lakes. i will make only 3 roads,i will make no rivers. Are ok for you ?
Count Milarodovich posted a battle map where is possible to see the battle at north east to Vyazma.
Do you want that I select a new zone map with Vyazma more at south west ? No problem for me.

Take a look.
I do not know the french are at north-east or at South-west ? anyway is easy to modify.
Now Vyazma is more at South west.
If for you is ok , i try to upload on depot,otherwise i can change.

Sorry for Maloyaroslavets map.
Maloyaroslavets is between two tiles.Each tile is a matrix of 6000x6000 data. (36000000 heights).
Following Brucepos explanations,i try to merge two tiles, but there is overflow stack error in Scilab.
Then i cannot make the map.
This is very good challenge,someone do want try to make this map?Perhaps someone that has a good Ram in PC.
I have only 2 giga ram,but i think that the stacksize is fixed in Scilab and i already use maxstacksize (not depending of power of PC).

I forgoy to say that when unzip you find ->Vyazam_15k_satellite->Vyazma_15k_satellite->files..........
You have to copy only the second directory and put in Map of HWLG.

I tried another way to make Maloyaraslavets with town in middle.
I make a map at north inside tile 44_01.(maloya_north)
Another map at south inside the tile 44_02.(maloya_south)
Then insted to save in binary for HWLG,i save data in txt file.
Then i delete half data from the first file , delete half data for second file and merge the two half files.
Then i convert txt file in binary file for HWLG.
This is the result with only elevations of 3 maps.
I think that is good until here.
What do you think ?
