Wait to fill with something (screens,comments,also posts with external criticism).
Transparent battle with orders visible in the screens ,between gentlemen that not take in count visible order of opponents (screens with orders),but that follow only own plan,it is a experiment to discuss and learn something.
Or a normal battle without FOW with comment during tha battle ?.
Or battle with FOW,but only a side take screen for to see other side with FOW ?
This for me a good idea, a side attack and other side take screen to understand what happens with comments.
Maybe using a big FOW (snow)
I do not know.

In practice you attack and do not take a screens and i search to understand what happens with comments and think maybe at a counterattack.
For you few comments,only at the end to explain your plan.
I know that if you take a look on forum,can see all my units,tell us of training only for one side.

1)OOB , if for you is ok , you can play with french OOB 200 ceh of tourney(i have , not need send to me)
2)RussianHills15k , 2 LOP for side, for map ?
3)Option easy - Order immediate - View Full - conditional without delay - weather snow (very low visibility)
4)One turn for day for side is enough (5-10 minutes of time need)
5)i take note of time for every turn.If necessary (training) i can resume a past turn , for a action different.(you must overwrite always the file)
If you have some doubts or do not want play, write on this topic or send me a PM (i wait also your opinion).

I advance my offer also to anyone usual with PBEM (why not thilio,Franciscus ? or other that can be interested)
It is only a experiment to discuss and try better tattics, if possible..

Indeed it's "Bastille day" today in France and I am at work. Sorry I did not read carrefully your first e mail and tought that you were just looking for a pbem partner. For that, I am ok, but for a excercise with AAR and so on, I am too busy. Sorry again.

While I wait Soldat Louis,I explain my idea ,perhaps enough good for training.
The battle is unique and unrepeatable,but it can to have different developing.
Let assume that at 10 hour i think to attack the enemy with some my corps in a certain way.
The battle proceed and then some time the result is not good.
We discuss in forum how is better make a attack.
At that point , i resume PBEM battle at 10 hour with email and proceed how was suggestioned, and after some time we can see if attack is better or not.
In practice tha same battle fight with different tactical in 1 or 2 crucial point.
I do not know if is good or not , but for training can be instructive.
A attempt can be done then we see.

We already playing a PBEM battle.
What do you think to use it to discuss?
At the end of battle a synthetic AAR and to follow a attempt to repeat in a different way the crucial point of battle.

No problem for me to play another battle with Soldat Louis if he wants.

the battle is really good we are having so far there is always a different attack order that I could have done instead in what I was doing now!

For me is difficult to find some variants .
You have initiative for your improvvise and massive attack,i must only defend dangerous points.
You have break my left wing now . :? (i used formation in checkboard,perhaps was better defend with default formation in two line with 50% reserve)

Little report at half battle.
My left wing break,but my Cav defends well the area with the french corps tired after the attack.
At center, massive attack of french troops very dangerous,i think to have made a good maneuver with my guard.
Before a false attack against another french corp at center, after gain a good angle , change direction and hit at flank the main attack that retrait, surprised.
On the right two my corps in defence seems resist until now.
Now after a max of 6% of losses , more that my opponent , the battle it is in perfect parity.
All troops now are tired,but the battle is still long......

PBEM battle of ten hours from 9.00 to 19.00 almost ended (2 turns to end) .
I start to insert some pic
Pics of 10 hour of both.
I send 2 corps on the left wing and 2 on right wing with deploy orders for more safe.
Ifail (french) very aggressive, he want attack at once.
On my extreme left wing i give orders to defend in checkboard when i see 2 corps french on attack.
Now (with ifail screens) i note that french not defend own LOPs.
Follow other screens (with no hurry), every hours of battle .
We wait from forum and from ifail some comments or any ask to find a better way to play battle or some suggestions to play in different way the battle (variants) .

Some informations.
200 ceh vs 200 ceh
options
view full - visibility conditional without delay- friendly unconditional - orders delayed - delay limited. etc
wait to end battle (probabily is a draw) for strength of corps (OOB) and other screens.

Battle end with draw.
Screens of both players for time 11 and 12 o'clock.
The crucial point of the battle is false attack of russian guard and then attack at flank the french (screen alf12).
After that the french retreat.
With this i recovery the battle that end in a draw.
My left wing break , but with cav in support, French attack is repulsed.
My right wing it is ok until end.
For me the variant that we can play is the attack of Ney at the flank of my guard,about at 12.30 of time.
What do you think ? this maneuver, for you ,can change the outcome of the battle,with a win for Ifail or not?
(a note, Depreradovich has the cav of Dolgorouki in support)
Ney at the start had 16870 men (cav+inf) with 41 guns.

A interesting variant that Ifail can play in another way -Attack of Ney at flank of russian guard ?
If Ifail agree , we can try to resume PBEM from 12.45 and try if something change in better in the battle.

This battle end with draw 50% losses french and 46% losses russian.

Ahhh,ok.
Perhaps low morale or danger for a russian corp on the left of Ney.
Then, if no interesting variant to play , this attempt of training battle is over.
Maybe another battle Ifail ?

Nah it just wont move Ive ordered him every 4 turns we had he just dosent go forward.
yeh sure If you want another battle maybe different map and different factions I dont mind send to me if you want :D
