Happy New Years to Les Grognards
Patch to apply to HistWar Version 02e
http://www.histwar.org/mods/file.php?id=102 (http://www.histwar.org/mods/file.php?id=102)
Take a look at the file Patch02f.txt to read the modification.
Major : problem to read the old files fixed.
Important : priority of manual orders is above priority of AI orders.
Adjustments on management of sounds
JMM
IMPORTANT : problem detected on this patch; fixed at 11:30 (French Time).
If you have downloaded the patch before 11:30, you must download again.
The bad version is 2.20f. The good one is 2.20F.
Take a look at the initial page of Les Grognards, in the right bottom corner.
Really sorry for that (my mistake, I just deleted a line in the code at the last moment... )

All work good and now i can continue old PBEMs.
Thank JMM.

Thank you very much JMM
May I ask about an approximate release date for The Belgium Campaign Mod?
Thanks again,
Andrea

Thank you !!
Ctrl-T is great !! :D
And the Belgian Campaign mod is out too !!

Had some craziness esp with my F keys since installing 2F
In 1st fighting - no F2, no F5
in Hanau F2 OK but no F4, F5, F6 etc
In Quatre Bras as soon as I started the map everyone fled the field in disarray. The enemy hadn't even stepped forward an inch. No F2. F4 F5 OK
Also a lot of visual artifacts - I've heard of an opposite number but really...!
Of possible relevance - using Madrussians mods, just upgraded the VGA card to GTX460 & using latest 266.35 nvda drivers.
Guessing I've missed something.... & Ive posted this in the wrong thread?
-
Did you install the patch 02F...
The normal processus is...
a) install the patch 02F
b) install the package Waterloo
A priori, the MadRussian mod can be installed before or after these 2 package
PWGN must not be installed in the histwar folder
JMM
PS : no sure but it's possible you may install Waterloo before 02F
-
Thanks for quick response JMM.
Yes 2F (i.e. the corrected version) over version 2e. Waterloo pack afterwards.
Peninsula pack in separate HW install.
UPDATE
Made fresh install; added key; patched with incl patch to 2e; patched to 2F. No mods. No campaign packs.
F keys still dont function correctly, different keys work in different scenarios.
Sound is a bit strange sometimes audible sometimes not. Quiet in most cases.
PWGM (still in it's old separate installation) - v201e - loaded La Corogne - all units immediately flee.
So I think cause is not the F patch.
Think the PC is OK as :-
Theatre of War #1 - openGL - works perfectly
Theatre of War #2 - directX works perfectly
Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943 - DirectX 9.0c works perfectly
Heaven DX 10/11 benchmark works perfectly
DXDiag reports no issues.
Only real change in PC is my VGA card from 9800GT to GTX460 & driver update.
Perhaps this VGA card is an anti-Napoleon Royalist?

In case anyone is wondering about the patch & my problem with the game - I am 99.999% certain the patch isn't the issue.
After numerous attempts at installation, game is erratic on F key responses no matter what I do, & in battles I've played happily before now suddenly everyone runs away (I can use F2 in this case though).

Weird gfx artifacts seem to be only in non-french troops Allez! Tuez les numeros Uns! isn't motivating my troops however. :p
