'Les Grognards' appears to be the way a Napoleonic game 'should' be made.  I hope it will be a turn based PBEM with a strong AI !

It must be said that you are comparing apples to oranges.  Each game is a different animal altogether and each game has aspects that people in both crowds like.  (Except for you of course.)
