Waterloo Campaign PBEM
« on: 29 January 2011, 03:47:14 AM »
I am slowly in the process of installing the Peninsula War mod and the Waterloo Campaign and would like to find an opponent to fight through one or more of the sequence of the 1815 campaign battles.  I put up a thread at the NWC but haven't received a reply yet so I open it up here, too. :)

As you may know, several NBC members enjoy PBEM games, including me, but we have all stopped new games untill after the next patch - due to some strange behaviour in many recent games.

Call in at NBC anytime and I'm sure someone will start a game after the next patch, we are hoping it improves the PBEM games.

I've been quite enjoying PBEMing since 2e.  What's the problem that has ground you all to a halt?  (Oh, and when do you expect a patch?)

Regts from Corps moving off in strange directions, mostly to the western side of the battlefield, and detached units not behaving correctly, including scouts.

2g now installed and things appear to be working better, although some "strange" behavior has been seen in an MP game.....AI taking over "defense on line" positions and moving them as your about to be attacked, thereby losing artillery which should be in position firing, but are being moved by AI at the wrong time.

Harry actually I'm testing the PBEM with Waterloo mod, so if you want play I have time. Nomrally I set full grognards with 3d full, i found little problems at this level (the bigger remain the halt for artillery eternal)
