We play with HWN ;)
Year of Odb 1812.
We find that 100 Ceh, on a map of 15 km is more enjoyable to play.
With 200 Ceh it is easy to cover the whole front and clashes still without much surprise, the battles of attrition are not very exciting.
With less man more movement and movement is an important key to the battle.
Thursday 21:00 Paris ok for you ? To be confirmed by my partner
we dont have steam, only Skype.
Yes the cav 800h for units.
For the first time we want to take french army.
Each team makes its Odb for each battle.

Last night, I forgot to ask you, why did you use the order surrender.
Yes the French Guard Cav is powerful, but she was engaged at the right time, you haven't fresh troops to oppose her. ;)
The battle was fun and you led the scoring for longtime.
Nous devrions prendre rendez-vous pour la revanche.
We should make an appointment for the revenge.
-
I just watched the "save" file of the battle ..
Beautiful tussle !!! :D
I think I understand, dear Lancer, the reason for your request for surrender.
No doubt you've seen around 17.15, about 15 Russian Infantry Regiment, who were trapped for a long time, almost at the French LOP, be free instantly and take your losses from 82% to 63% ...
We will send the file to JMM that will tell us what happened ...
In any case, thank you and congratulations for your fair play !! ;)
-
;)
If we look more closely :
Bagration offers his surrender at 5:07 p.m. with 84% losses .... And then the game continued a few minutes, during which your troops made freed themselves and captured the French LOP, increasing your losses to 63% .
JMM will explain what is happening in the software after the surrender of one of two camps ...
;)

Occupying the lines of operation of the enemy enables you to transform a marginal
victory into a substantial victory, a substantial victory into a decisive victory and a
decisive victory into an overwhelming victory, providing you have protected your own
lines of operation.
Effects on moral:
0 lops -50% morale drop, 1 lop -10%, ... 3 controlled lops +30%, 4 controlled lops +100%
The differential is determined by how demoralised your troops are at the time.
ie if your guard regiment is at 100% and you loose 1 lop it will drop to 90%, if attacked by unit of same value it will only have a morale of 10% higher, assuming you cannot have higher than 100%. Depending on other factors the loss of 1 lop will not be that great...
Loss of French lop, the surrendering units rallied near the lop for some reason and lop changed hands, nothing broken imo.
Prisoners do need an escort, 1000's of surrendered enemy troops moving to the rear will need some escort?
-
With closer examination of the replay, maybe it was something to do with hitting the surrender button, troops went from prisoner to marching towards the enemy lop, so just by sheer coincidence their numbers and the fact that they were not technically surrendered, ie no white dot, they gained control of the lop. Maybe JMM does need to look at this?
-
Even so, should they have rallied once surrender button had been used?
-
Gentlemen, can we set next game 10th October friday 21:30 paris ?
I don't Know Lancier, I haven't talked to Belliard since our last battle.
