Yes, the social part of this game properly arrives when PBEM and MP are available.  My involvement has dwindled until the next patch arrives.  I've got games pending on it.  There seems no point to start a game that won't get resolved or won't take further orders and won't be compatible with the new patch.  However, once v.02a is here... :D
