Mod and Scenarios Forum

With the realease of the game approaching (huzzah!  ), I think that we should begin to plan how the game will be supported not only by JMM, but also by We the Community.

Scenario, Maps and OOBs: this will be, I suppose, the main and easier area where the players can help improving the game. I'm, for example, working on OOBs and Map for the Battle of Genola (Second Battle of Fossano, 4 November 1799, for the French). So we need a forum here where we can share ideas, WIPs and complete works.
This forum should be arranged with clear rules on pre-fixes for topics (i.e. [OOB], [Map], and so on) to ease the read, and with a sticked topic with links to all completed works, in order to support the growth of the community.

Mods: just as above, with [Graphic], [Sound], etc topics, and a sticky to help the player's orientation in what, I'm sure, will be a huge part of the game.

It's important imho to have this sections ready before the launch of the game, and to support them in order to prevent a natural dispersion of our forces (something that happens with many games, imho making really hard for a player to really understand what is there on the "shelf").

This is a good idea in my opinion, i think mods regarding flags, sounds and even terrain will pop up just after few weeks... not counting scenarios, maps, doctrines and oobs

As I have just read it I would mention that the game runs from 1805. I assume that JMM is saying that the doctrines and uniforms pre this period are not included. No doubt will be covered later!!!

Yes I know, but Imho with the doctrine editor included we can cover the period from 1800 to 1815 easily.

A multiplayer forum could also be a consideration. A place to organize, recruit/challenge opponents, or just discuss general multiplay issues.

As someone who is really only interested in MP, I agree both of the above will be very usefull.  If MP becomes popular I will attempt to make some maps, a MP Forum here will be very welcome.

Because that could be very instructive, I second that.

An other suggestion:
I hope all those folders will not be fragmented in different languages.

Indeed, about an AAR for example, imagine a battle played amongst an english, italian, spanish and french speakers. If each comment the game, we are to jump from

one language folder to the other, in order to appreciate a global report.
