Gentlemen:
I am posting two new HistWar scenarios - Teugen-Hausen and Shevardino Redoubt. You can find the links to the files below. May I make a suggestion to other scenario designers as follows:
#1. In order to allow for multiple versions of the same battle - let us name the map file as follows:
- 1st two characters - initial of 1st name of author followed by initial of last name followed by an underscore "_" then the
battle name.
This will do two things - allow for using a "unique" name for the same battle developed by different authors. And it will also
group maps (by the same author) into an easily recognized list.
If your 1st name and last name initials are already used - add a 3rd character to make it unique.
#2. Prefix the appropriate OOBs with the first name initial followed by the last name initial - again allowing for easy
identification. i would add the "_" character - but HistWar removed it when I saved an OOB while testing.
Example: My two new scenarios are named as follows:
TS_TeugbHausen http://www.mediafire.com/file/mu2mlelb3zj/TS_TeugnHausen.rar
TS_Shevardino http://www.mediafire.com/file/2ubdg2tngl4/TS_Shevardino.rar
What say you?

Yes, Yankee1950, I think it's a good idea to name the maps and scenarios.
That's what I'll do for my next one.
Thanks for yours !

Hey, I just uploaded your two scenarios to the HistWar: Les Grognards unofficial File Depot (http://hwlg.guggs.de), (TS_Teugn-Hausen (http://www.guggs.de/hwlg/file.php?id=7), TS_Shevardino (http://www.guggs.de/hwlg/file.php?id=6)) I hope that's ok with you. Let me know if it's not, then I'll remove it, no problem. Just thought it might be more convinient to have all the good stuff in one place, so everyone can find it easily and it won't perish after rapidshare & co decide to delete stuff. :)
-
Hey Spec, when did this File Depot start, I haven't seen an anouncement or anything. I'm sure there are a lot of others who don't know about it.
-
I just fired it up tonight, I hope the word will spread fast. It's always good for a game to have a place where all the community files can be found :)

Agreed 100%
