What the two patches didn't solve is the fact that I can't start the game using the histwar icon. It starts only when I use the LGDN.exe icon on my desktop.

I had the same problem as reported in anomalie 892 on the new bug thread:

"After installing the patch i can`t use the OoB and Maps Editor anymore.

The message is: The Sytem can´t find the file."

The grognards program was patched and ran ok as did the doctrine editor but not the map or OoB editor after the patch.

I think this was because i had installed the full program into a different root file to the default. ('C:\HistWarFull\HistWar' rather than 'C:\HistWarGames\HistWar' ) I did this because I had also left Demo1 and Demo 2 installed on my computer as well as the full program (and demo 2 was in HistWargames folder). I directed the patch to install in C:\HistWarFull\Histwar and it patched the grognards but disabled the map and OoB editor.

I solved the problem by deleting the program ( after backing up my Map, Army, Scenari, OoB and Save folders so all the added games and user maps etc were not lost),and deleted the demos and then reinstalled the full program using the default folder and then ran the patch on this default folder and all was well again: all editors work and the full program is properly patched.

Also, JMM, many thanks, my soldiers are marching again! Away with the gliding!

I've installed both patches and still see units gliding. Any suggestions?

Can be an available memory problem. It arrives me from time to time. Extinguish the PC and open Histwar again.
For me it functions.

Version number for LGdN.exe is 0.H10
This number is in the file readme.txt.
You can see it in the first page of the game:

Otherwise, I have to adjust the parameters to avoid the gliding.

I have even more units glyding.

I have uninstalled and re-installed with the latest patch. The problem now appears to be resolved. I will continue to monitor.

Art, how did you uninstall the patch, I don't want to uninstall the whole LGDN, It would take me hours to reinstall all the scenarios etc..

Unfortunately, I did, But I copied all directories beforehand. It made things easier.

Hi ajlewisbrooks, all you need to do is copy (Ctrl-C) the folders : Map, Army, OoB, Save, and Scenari then paste them into My documents (Ctrl-V) then delete the HistWar program folders, then reinstal using the default folder which the install program creates, then run the patch on it (again the default so you dont need to enter any folder names). Then to restore your files:  copy and paste each of the saved folders into the HistWar folder, they will add their contents to the folders of the same names there. ( i.e. no need to copy each document in the folders by hand) . Apologies if you know all this but if not it will save you lots of time!

I'm reporting the 'gliding' problem as well in the Campaign Map.
Tried all game presets...happens in everyone.

The partial white screen is forcing me to do the 'three finger salute' I'm changing my screen resolution
to the game standard resolution ( I was running higher with LDGN Demo)
