I was more than a bit surprised over the sharp and sudden cut they made.

There was some useful info in that forum and it could have been made read only at the weekend or after tomorrow or such. I like --------- but this behavior is respectless to all the HWLG forumites.

Anyway, I'm glad the project itself was not cancelled and wish all the best to JMM.

In any case I sent a private message to Moon, the administrator of the --------- forum, concerning the specifics of the issue. This was his exact reply:

We cannot share this type of information due to confidentiality clauses in the contract. Our reason for cancelling the product has been stated however: it has been cancelled due to repeated delays. More details are not publicly available.

Amazing, I would like another publisher to take up LG, because it has now got a lot of backing around the internet. It would be great if a new publisher sold it in normal retailers (in-store). Well, we must think to the future of Histwar, BF is now a thing of the past.

The only problems that I see right now for JMM are the marketing and promotional aspects: as a professional marketing&comms expert, I can help you (for free, obviously) in finding cheap ways to promote HLG if you want. The first thing is to make aware all the people that were following the game that it has not been cancelled (how the BF forum says) but that now this is the official forum. I'll start with posting the news in every strategy newsgroup and forum that I know.  

As other suggested, I would try to contact Matrix or Slitherine, maybe they are willing to distribute the game - but the release dates posted in the "News" thread MUST be certain.

I'm sure that the LG community will help JMM in every possible way to help him overcome what has certainly been an hard hit.

I'm so happy to see that the game is still going to be published. I'll gladly pay 100 Euro's for my copy to see that happen.

I hope indeed that some publisher sees how unique this game is and picks it up.

Granted, but for me personally that is what I am willing to pay for such a niche game if the alternative is to cancel it completely.

Histwar will not be cancelled :

The agreement between JMM and Battelfront is canceled.

HW:LH Manual will be consultable on November the 11th...
HW:LH Demo will be released before the end of this month...
HW:LG will be in pre-order on the first week of December...
HW:LG will be released before Christmas...

That's why Collector's editions exist. In this case, JMM could release a digital "Supporter" edition, with some simple plus (soundtrack, wallpapers) in order to give us a way to support him.

I would pay 60. and more if the game is good. Perhaps JMM will get something more when the Brits are released.! My pet method is every JMM birthday I send a monetary present basd on how many hours I have played that year. BF would have made a small fortune from me on that additional method or getting income.

Even not playing much I am sure I am good to send them 15-30 dollars a year at 10c per hour.
